Fed up with reinstalling windows?

If you are fed with installing windows over and over again, then read this.
First you need to install a software named acronis true image. Now run the software, at its first startup it will ask for 1 click backup of boot sectors and windows drive, go and create it on your hard disk. Now you can create a rescue disk using dis software which is helpful in restoring backup images created by the user. Whenever your windows installation goes corrupted, you simply need to insert the rescue cd and select the backup image created. It's faster than windows reinstallation and you also get all your drivers and softwares if you have installed them on your windows installation drive. And the restore time is around 20 mins. Compared to 25 mins for clean windows installation + whole day needed to install drivers and softwares.

Microsoft BUGS

An Indian discovered that nobody can create a FOLDER anywhere on the computer which can be named as “CON”. This is something pretty cool…and unbelievable… At Microsoft the whole Team, couldn’t answer why this happened!

For those of you using Windows, do the following:

1.) Open an empty notepad file
2.) Type “Bush hid the facts” (without the quotes)
3.) Save it as whatever you want.
4.) Close it, and re-open it.

is it just a really weird bug? :-? ?

This is something pretty cool and neat…and unbelievable… At Microsoft the whole Team, including Bill Gates, couldn’t answer why this happened!
It was discovered by a Brazilian. Try it out yourself…

Open Microsoft Word and type

=rand (200, 99)

And then press ENTER
then see the magic………………………….

Step 1:  Right click on your desktop and choose “New=>shortcuts”.

Step 2:  In the box that says “Type the location of the shortcut”,
type in “shutdown -s -t 3600″ without the quotation marks and click next.

Note: 3600 are the amount of seconds before your computer shuts down. So , 60secs*60mins=3600secs.

Step 3:  Make up a name for the shortcut and you’re done.
You can change the icon by right clicking=>properities=>change icon=>browse.

To abort:  To make an abort key to stop the shutdown timer just create another shortcut and make
the “location of the shortcut” to ” shutdown -a” without the quotes.

How to Enable Right Click on Sites that Disable it!!!

Right click is usually disabled by the javascript so that you may not steal any photos or something from the website.
So simply turn off the javascript rendering in your browser to enable right click

For Firefox:
Goto Tools> Options> Content(tab)> Uncheck enable javascript and u r done:-))

You change settings try holding down the Ctrl key and right clicking.
This also works in a lot of cases..

Enable checkboxes for selecting files in Windows Vista/7 Explorer

You’re probably used to hit either CTRL or SHIFT to select multiple files (one by one or a consecutive bunch, respectively). However, if you accidentally misclick, your selection is lost and you have to start over.
This is would not happen if you’d be able to select files in a checkbox manner, would it?

To implement the checkboxes, simply do this..
1.) Go to folder options
2.) Go to the View tab, scroll down under the Advanced Settings area and tick the option: Use checkboxes to select items
3.) When hovering over a file or folder in Explorer, a checkbox will now appear near it, allowing you to select that item.

Time resetting to 01/01/20XX

You need to buy a new CMOS cell for your system if this problem persists at every bootup. The cell might have gone weak or dead. The life of the cell is from 2 to 10 years.

Messing with BIOS settings

Ever messed with your BIOS settings?
You can reset BIOS settings to default by removing the CMOS cell on the motherboard for 1 minute and then again inserting it there. The cell is for preserving BIOS settings and Date & Time. It is the size of coin.

It can be useful in situations if you have disabled your GPU by mistake in BIOS or your PC won't boot up.

It is helpful for PCs but can be painful in case of laptops as you might have to open complicated case of Lappie.

Windows Explorer Stops working.

A computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows 7 stops responding randomly. Applications or services that are running on the computer stop working correctly. Additionally, you cannot log on to the computer by using the remote desktop connection utility.

This issue occurs because of a deadlock condition between the Lsass.exe process, the Redirected Drive Buffering Subsystem  (Rdbss.sys) driver and the Winsock kernel.

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem.
